World Letter Writing Day was
established by Richard Simpkin as a tribute to the joy and excitement he felt
when a hand-written letter would arrive in his mailbox.
September 2 - World Coconut Day

The World Coconut Day (WCD) is
observed every year on September 2 to enhance coconut farming with focus on
productivity and product diversification.

The day is also celebrated to
commemorate the formation day of Asian Pacific Coconut Community (APCC).

The 2019
theme is “Coconut for Family Wellness”.
